What is the lifespan of a CR2477 battery?

A CR2477 coin cell battery lasts up to 10 years in storage and generally provides several months to several years of active use depending on the device. 

Active Use Lifespan
Low-drain devices (like digital clocks, memory backup, or ambient sensors): Can last multiple years or up to 5+ years because they draw very little current.
Medium-to-high drain devices (like smart home sensors, security keypads, or heavy-use remotes): May drain the battery within 1 to 3 years.
Power capacity: A standard CR2477 has a high nominal capacity of around 1000 mAh at 3.0 volts. 

Shelf Life and Storage
Unused shelf life: Up to 7 to 10 years when kept in a cool, dry, and room-temperature environment.
Self-discharge rate: Very low, losing only about 1% to 2% of its charge per year when properly stored.
