    The standard UL 4200A:2023 for consumer products containing button/coin cells officially took effect on October 23, 2023. 16 CFR 1263 also came into effect on the same day. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) will provide an 180-day enforcement transition period from September 21, 2023, to March 19, 2024, with the mandatory enforcement date for 16 CFR 1263 being March 19, 2024.
